THE POSITION:
• The role is preferably based in one of the main locations of our client’s activities on the East Coast (NY, Philadelphia, Hartford) or in Chicago.

• The North America Insurance Research Manager role is in the global Financial Services research team which is a team of 35+ researchers based in the main firm’s locations across the world.
• This role is insurance specific and is for a researcher who will focus on developing research projects for North America, both in Life and P&C insurance.
• The role requires a significant amount of proactivity and creativity as the NA Insurance leadership expects the client’s Research to suggest new potential ideas of research and to help define and manage the research agenda.
• This individual will report into the NA FS research team lead and the Global FS and Insurance research team lead. Under their direction, the successful candidate will define and establish the overall strategy and priorities for the research agenda to support thought leadership projects, special projects and business/market development for this client’s Insurance and its clients.
• The successful candidate will direct the scoping, delivery and quality review of individual research projects, personally conducting research as required.
• The role combines understanding of content sources, primary and secondary research techniques, and subject matter with knowledge of this client and the marketplace to ensure team’s delivery of high value research results (i.e., highly synthesized, packaged findings derived from existing information and data sources).

REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge and understanding of current business issues, research and content sources relating to insurance, competitor offerings and positioning, and business process outsourcing in the NA insurance industry
• Able to team at local, regional and global level
• Ability to work independently while managing research projects
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize appropriately
• Proven ability to manage multiple researchers on cross-border/cross-team research projects – including end-to-end project management skills (scoping, budgeting, selling, staffing, QA, etc.)
• Proven ability to create resource and budget plans and to adhere to and monitor these throughout the duration of a project
• Ability to quickly recognize and act on blended research and industrialization opportunities
• Experience in marketing and selling a service to a specified customer group
• Experience and comfort with communicating directly to senior executives and key stakeholders
• Experience and highly skilled in packaging and synthesizing research deliverables – particularly in PowerPoint, Word and Excel

Requirements:



· Pr Eng – Civil Engineering – (Chartered Civil Engineers)

· 10 to 15 Years experience on international projects

· Program management experience of large water supply and hydropower projects

· Extensive experience in:

o Planning and design

o Setting up and implementing control systems for large and complex infrastructure

programs

o Construction of medium to large civil projects (Hydro-electric facilities (essential), treatment plants, large-diameter pipelines, dams, tunneling, reservoirs, pump stations)

· Leading and managing of similar assignments in developing countries

· Proficiency in program, construction, management and implementation including program-controls, cost estimating and risk management

I just joined this forum, and I hope there are opportunities out there. I am a Scientist with over 5 years experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry. Besides from basic research, I was later exposed to CI utilizing secondary research on proposed projects and competitors research. I have gained a strong interest to pursue a career in CI. I currently reside in NJ, so if there are any opening, could you let me know.
